TV MELTDOWN: Whoopi Goldberg raises eyebrows with shocking T.r.u.m.p-!ran claim tied to Nancy Guthrie case on The View

WHOOPI Goldberg went on a rant Tuesday claiming President Donald Trump’s strikes on Iran are meant to be a distraction the nation from Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

Nancy, the 84-year-old mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie, has been missing since February 1 after she was abducted from her Arizona home.

Goldberg, one of the co-hosts on The View, claimed Tuesday that Trump’s actions in Iran are a distraction from other events going on in the US, including Nancy’s disappearance and the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The US and Israel recently launched airstrikes in Iran as part of Operation Epic Fury, which killed Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Massive strikes have continued to rock the region, but Trump said Monday that “the war is very complete, pretty much.”

“If you look, they have nothing left. They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force,” the president said. “Wrapping up is all in my mind.”

“It’s nutty as hell,” Goldberg told her co-hosts on Tuesday. “And you’re right, every day it’s something new.”

“And it’s, you know, I was thinking about it yesterday, because I thought, ‘Well, OK, why haven’t we been talking about Savannah Guthrie and what’s going on there?

“Why haven’t we — why have we not been talking about the Epstein files?’ Because that’s still there.

“This is meant to get us so worked up that we are unable to see anything else.”

Goldberg’s fellow co-hosts appeared to agree with her sentiment, with Sunny Hostin saying, “It’s a very ‘wag the dog’ feeling.”

Nancy has been missing for over a month as authorities still search for the 84-year-old and the alleged kidnappers involved in her disappearance.

She was last seen by her family on January 31 and was reported missing the next day. Police later released security cam footage from her home that captured a person in a mask moving in the range of the camera shortly after 2:00am on February 1.

Nancy’s pacemaker app then disconnected from her phone, which was found at her house, at 2:28am.

A trail of blood was found outside of her home and cops later found a glove with a DNA profile at the scene.

The search for who abducted Nancy remains ongoing after the family was ruled out as suspects.

Multiple ransom letters were sent out containing details about the 84-year-old’s home and clothing, but after deadlines passed, it remained unclear whether or not the authors of the letter were the alleged kidnappers.

The Guthrie family has posted several pleas on social media asking the alleged kidnappers to reach out to the family and provide proof that they have their mother.

“We need you to reach out, and we need a way to communicate with you so we can move forward. But first, we have to know that you have our mom,” Camron Guthrie, Nancy’s son, said in a video shared on February 6.

What we know about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance

While two people have been detained in connection to her disappearance, they were ultimately released.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos insisted the case is still moving forward while he faces intense pressure from the public to find Savannah’s mother.

Nanos has also faced criticism in the case, as former prosecutor Lindsay Richards told The U.S. Sun that the FBI should have been involved in the investigation much earlier.

Nanos said on March 3 that officials are “definitely closer” to identifying the person, or people, connected to Nancy’s vanishing.

“We got a lot of intel, a lot of leads, but now it’s time to just go to work,” he told NBC News.

Two days later, Savannah was spotted at the Today Show studio in New York City for the first time since her mother was abducted.

In her rant, Goldberg also claimed the conflict overseas is meant to distract from the Epstein files, tied to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi announced on February 16 that “all” of the files had been released with hundreds of high-profile names listed.

The files have continued to be in the news as former president Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary testified about their ties to Epstein.

Investigators launched a new search of Epstein’s New Mexico ranch, an alleged scene of some of his crimes, on Tuesday.

Authorities are looking into allegations that Epstein had a secret incinerator hidden on the property and buried girls underneath the desert.

Goldberg previously addressed the Epstein files on The View after her name was linked to a private-jet request to Monaco, where she pushed back on claims that she had any relationship with Epstein.
